Welcome to Hay Cheese Market, the old Town Hall in Hay-on-Wye. Saved from dereliction, thanks to support from the Hay Community Enterprise CIC and the local community, this elegant, centrally located historic building is for hire. Upstairs the Cheese Market Flat offers comfortable holiday accommodation for two. Downstairs the twin-arched Market Hall offers covered event space, available to hire on a daily basis for community functions, markets, fairs and public events.
Cheese Market Flat
The Cheese Market flat is located in the centre of world-famous Hay on Wye, known for its’ second-hand bookshops, literary festival and stunning local scenery. From the doorstep follow the Bailey River Walk from Hay Bridge to the Warren, a conservation area, with picturesque beach, alongside the River Wye.
The market hall offers c35 square metres of covered floor space, in the centre of Hay adjacent to the Memorial Square car park. It can accommodate up to five stalls on Market Day (Thursday each week, year-round) and is available to hire for community events, shows, exhibitions, sales and public or private functions.
